Submerged explores the concept of transition. Viewers can enter the piece on either side and move from willow branches to a kelp forest or vice versa. The idea of descent and ascent is very present in the piece, as is contemplation. The branches and kelps are arranged so that a specific pathway emerges, making the space into a labyrinth.
